There are many ways to get images in your blog. The easiest way is to use the Gallery feature we provide you.
If you have never uploaded images into your gallery, you will need to go to "My Account" and click on the gallery link next to your blog name. After you have submitted an image, a Gallery link will appear on your blog page near your Name, Bio, etc.
Once you get to the Gallery, click on the "Upload Image" link. This will bring up a page with instructions on how to upload images from your computer to our site.
If you want to create an "Icon/Headshot" for yourself (an image that appears on the blog page near your name, after you upload an image click on the "Icon" link that will appear underneath the thumbnail. This will turn that image into an Icon which will then appear on your blog.

To have an image appear directly in your post:
If you want to have an image appear directly in your blog post, the image must either be hosted in your Blogstream Gallery or on a third party hosting service.
If you use a third party service, get the URL of the image. This should look something like:
http://www.somewebsitename.com/image.jpg
If you use our Gallery, go to the gallery locate the image you wish to appear in your blog. Click on the "URL" link under the image. This will bring up a window that shows you the URL to use below. (Unfortunately you will have to copy it manually at this time... we are working on a way to fix that.)
Now, when you post a message enter:
{{IMAGE:__URL_OF_IMAGE__}}
For example:
{{IMAGE:www.somewebsitename.com/image.jpg}}
However replace the { symbol with [ and } with ] above. (I had to do this so it did not actually show the image above.)
Advanced Users:
If you are an advanced user and familiar with HTML you can also use the "Standard with HTML" editor by clicking on the link on the right side when posting. This will allow you to use standard html such as:

The other option is to use the "Advanced" editor which works like a word processor. There is an image link avaialable in that editor which will ask you for the URL of the image.
1 How do I change my email address please?
2. How can I get the chat room log in to accept my details which I reviewed several times in the edit facility just in case I got them a teensy bit wrong - I didn't. It always has been difficult to get into the chat room and I gave up on it last year because of that. I tried five times this afternoon and my patience has now given out.
Can anyone help me with this?
Can u fix this?

Please help and tell me what to do. Thank you Madie.
There has always been a 50 image limit to the gallery but we never enforced it. We have now started enforcing it and added a "premium membership" which lets you have up to 500 images in your gallery. If you wish to have more than 50 images you will need to become a premium member... check out one of the recent posts in the news blog for more information.

Is there a problem with the network????

Even though I joined to get more images on my blog, I find myself stalled again in using photographs. How can I add more than 500 images to my gallery now? Is there another level?
I really like using photos to my posts and I hope I don't have to open another blog to do so.
Thank you, Rita B
"Image is of an invalid type. You can only download JPeg, GIF, or
PNG fomat images." What does that all mean? I really am having trouble with my Gallery. Every picture if I can ever download any, I will go back to my blog and give explanations.
I downloaded Wanderly and I for sure do not understand it yet.
It sure would help if you could, would gave us dummies directions in plain English we could understand. I'm just a plain old country hick
tryingto help people.
Maybe some of you with blogs would be kind enough and put the easy directions somewhere or send me some directions.
frankiesbookabout.blogstream.com. Thanks
I just made a post using offsite images and I realized that the images are way too big and it makes it so you have to side scroll to read the blog. I know I can adjust the size pretty easily using html, but I didn't really want to mess with that since I was just making a quick post. While working on other things.
Have done this forever, but for some reason, I am being blocked!
Thanks if you have time to tell me how to un block my gallery pics.
