I didn't see anything that showed how to change font or typeface. Did I miss something somewhere? Thanks. Nice place. Mr President

Hi Mr. P -- you can do this in the "Advanced Editor" when posting a message. There is a pulldown box on that editor to change the font.

In my blog I have followed the instructions for creating a link but they are not appearing as links. For example I have put [[LINK:http://www.wordpaint.com/]] but it is appearing as text not a link I am using the standard editor and following the instructions on the edit page. my email address is peterlove7@hotmail.com

I'd like to know if there are other URLs beyone "http://(blogname).blogstream.com"for any given blog, and if so, where that information is available. I'm asking because I'm wanting to use independent, non-browser based software ("ecto" for MAC), and when I enter the standard URL, ecto indicates that it is incorrect. Answers? Solutions?

The only URL you have for your blog is:

http://(sitename).blogstream.com

Do not include a www. before, it will not work. As for why your program does not like it, I am not sure. There should be no problem with it accepting it unless there is a bug in your program.

Why do some posts never show up on my blog? It's happened again today! I keep checking and nothing --- last time I rewrote it and then I had two posts of the same thing! I'm waiting before I do that again......... Thanks for all you do! ~~~ Cyberhugs, Rita B

It can take a minute or two for posts to appear. If one does not appear after a few minutes, write support (cs1@blogstream.com) with the URL of the blog and some of the text you posted so I can look it up. -JOhn

It doesn't appear that the bottom line of a post can be dependably edited for color/ I realize where to edit the color but it doesn't seem to take.

How do I start another blog?
|<   <<   >>   >|

by SCamel (PM , CC ) on Thursday November 24, 2005 @ 3:39 PM

Currently the only way to start another blog is to create another account. You will need to use a new email address when signing up with a second blog.

Dear Pioneer, I am having trouble changing my icon. After clicking the picture I want as my new icon. Nothing happens, or in past changes to my icon, the new image only appears after a few days. Has the "change" button in the gallery got anything to do with my problem? kenoath

If you have any problems with graphics or changes appearing, please clear your browser cache. In Internet Explorer, you do this by going to Tools -> Internet Options and clicking on "Delete Files". In Firefox, Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cache -> Clear.

This will solve 95% of the problems you may have with icons appearing, color changes not appearing, etc. What happens is your browser "caches" old information for speedy loading and when you make changes often sometimes it gets confused.

Other people are probably seeing the changes, you just may not be since you are making changes more often. Sometimes the cache just needs to be cleared (or reload your computer somtimes helps.)

Another quicker trick, try holding down SHIFT or CTRL when hitting the reload button at the top of your browser.

Hi Pioneer! Just out of curiosity, what exactly does it mean when you view a profile and it says "5 people monitoring this blog"? I had assumed that it meant 5 others were reading it at that moment, but I wasn't so sure after clicking on a blog that turned out to be deactivated since December, and it had "10 people monitoring". Thanks for the excellent work you do here! :) -Six

Very large question!!!

My blog has been set up for a specific group of people. I have no trouble getting in; but others in the group say that they are asked for their email address.

Why is that?? We really want to use this method of communication and I just don't understand why they can't "get in". Naturally, folks don't want to spread their email address all over the place!! But we want members of the group to read what others are writing.

I'll appreciate any help you can give. newnana

I asked for the following earlier but am not sure where I may have posted it. I am fascinated: How does a blog, barely over a year old have over 40,000 unique visits where you only have 16,500 active blogs in the system. An active blog, I suppose, becomes inactive after a year of no activity and falls out of the system then. Where each visitor must create a blog id to get into the system to visit any of us. How is this possible given the time frame?

What do I not understand? Could it be that 25,000 individuals visited this particular blog, only to inactivate their blogs after visiting?

I had answered this wherever you posted originally -- visitors is one unique visitor per day -- so if a person visits once per day for 10 days, that counts as 10 visits. Also, you do not have to be a member to be a visitor.

I'm an Internet Affiliate Marketer. My affiliate links are not clickable on my blog site to redirect customers toward those sites whose products are promoted by me. What can I do to make my links clickable or write a " Click Here" to redirect people as I have seen it in the blog site of one of the marketers here who has written just the word: "Click here for more..." to redirect people to another website. Unfortunately I can't be in touch with him now.

Therefore, I require of you a help about it.

Please, advise with helpful instruction

The purpose of my blog is to be a repository for private information to be shared by several members of my family, so we can avoid haveing to make multiple phone calls to relay the same info to several different people. As this info is private in nature, I don't want just anyone viewing it. Is there any way to make my blog invitation only?

Thanks.
